Sock Monkey Birthday
I was stumped for a design and I have tried a couple of things since Saturday, but they just didn’t seem to give me the “right” feel. Nothing truly made me say “Yeah I really like this and want to send it). Then I saw this great sketch at Sudsol that jump started my creativity again. I was so excited I couldn’t stand it. I got right to work. So much so that I didn’t notice a major flaw in my design until it was mounted on the base card. *ugh*
*sighs* I almost don’t want to show this too you. It’s embarrassing to say the least. You would have thought I would have noticed sooner. But, I didn’t. This is not my best work, and I will probably make a new one tomorrow. I can’t possibly send this to Daniel the way it is!
But, here’s what I used…
Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
DSP: Bella Rose, Flowers For You (<-Retiring)
Stamp Set: Sock Monkey (New)
Embellishments/Tools: Stickles Glitter, Paper Piercing Tool, corner rounder, slit punch for scallop edge, Fine tip marker, White 5/8″ grosgrain ribbon, white gel pen, blue & red metallic markers.
I’m tired and need to go heal my self inflicted wounds for a little while. HA…sorry for such a short post. I hope you like the colors. I think the colors are very cool and I would have never thought to have put them together had it not been for the Flowers For You DSP. Okay, well have a great day tomorrow… :)
