This is all very exciting for me. I can’t wait to start working in my new space. I should have the whole room complete by this weekend. Including my window treatments and all my organizational stuff for the walls and beneath the unit. YAY!!! In the meantime I thought I would show you how the units were built in sections and what they look like once they were put together. :)
This is D getting ready to make the cuts on the 2×4’s.
This is scary! LOL
I cleared the room as much as possible. My phone had to stay which didn’t make things easy on D. eeeks…..*runs and hides*
The two 8 foot long sections of the U-shape.

D is screwing in the legs at this point. The unit will stand 3 feet tall. I need a higher chair! I’m not complaining. I love the height because sometimes I want to stand and work. This is perfect for me. :) No! I am not the jolly green giant. But, I am not exactly short either. ;)
Here you see the frames in place. Ready for the tops to be installed. Once that is done, we or rather I should say “I” will be ready to stain and polyurethane them. It’s getting close!
Two of the tops have been screwed on. Only one to go!!! woo whoo!!!
Tonight, I will be staining at least one top for one of the sides. And, then tomorrow the other two. I want to be ready to move things in on Wednesday because I have taken 3 days of vacation this week. Yippee!!!!
Till next time folks….
